Aura

Waist beads have been worn by African women of the Yoruba tribes since the 15th century. They are symbol of femininity , fertility , sexuality ,healing , body sculpting and wealth. Each color worn symbolizes a different meaning.( see color chart)  It is also very common for healing crystals and precious stone to be added. By adding precious stones or healing crystals to your strand they take on healing or rejuvenation qualities (i.e. love, physic powers, balancing)

Waist beads trace back over 4,000 years to ancient Egypt (Kemet), where they were worn by women of all classes as symbols of femininity, fertility, and spiritual protection.
